Get on to the eportfolio

New registrars (ST1s) need to complete form R and return it to the Deanery. They also need to register with the RCGP. Until they have done that, they won't be able to access the eportfolio.

Some trainees and educational supervisors have had difficulty accessing the eportfolio as the trainee hasn't been recognised. We apologise for the problem which is because changes in the Deanery have led to this work being devolved locally with insufficient notice.

Your Training Programme Directors (TPD, formerly known as Course Organisers) have been working hard to resolve this. If you are still having difficulty, please contact your local TPD in the first instance, He/she should be able to sort it out.

ARCP panels

The main panel is held in June each year as, for most, the year end is in August. For registrars who are out of phase there are panels held every two months, Aug, Oct, Dec, Feb & Apr, in different parts of the region. The relevant panel for you will be the one that is within eight weeks of your year end. You will receive notification via the eportfolio but you should contact your Area Programme Director, Dr Vic Schrieber (you can via this website) to ensure that you are listed. Remember that your progress through training depends on the ARCP panel.

New R7 form
There is a new format R7 format that is shorter and doesn’t need a signature from your Programme Director (Course Organiser). The Deanery will no longer accept the old style R7 form, so please use the new one. It is available from this website, your VTS website or from the Manager at your Education Centre. It needs to be completed by the trainee, countersigned by the trainer and sent, as it says on the form, to Vic Schrieber, Area Programme Director
Remember, if you don’t send in the form in good time, you won’t get paid.
